Exciting opportunity as a Director to make a significant impact in delivering a justice policy and legislation reform agenda within the Department of Justice. Strategic Policy and Legislation, within the DoJ Justice Policy and Reform Division, has wide reaching responsibilities that support the operation of Queensland’s justice system and develops proposals for primary and subordinate legislation within the Justice portfolio. As the Director, you will lead and manage a skilled team of policy and legal officers to deliver significant government outcomes in criminal law and criminal justice policy, including appearing at parliamentary committee hearings. We are seeking a skilled policy and legislation professional, energised by fast-paced, complex environments and who excels at leading diverse teams.
