Join the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) as a Senior Operations Officer (AO5) based in Southport. In this full-time, temporary role (14 September 2026 – 10 September 2027, with possible extension), you will supervise a small team and work with stakeholders to deliver passenger and school transport services. Key responsibilities include managing the School Transport Assistance Scheme, ensuring compliance with service contracts, and providing advice on legislation and policy. You’ll also play a vital role in monitoring data systems, supporting governance, and coordinating responses during natural disasters or emergencies. A current C-class driver licence is required, and you may need to travel or work outside normal hours.
