Based in Townsville, The Principal Program Officer for the Special Commissioner will establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders ensuring effective liaison and consultation between government, and those living and working in regional and rural Queensland. You will support the Special Commissioner and Director with network and regional stakeholder interactions across the state. The Special Commissioner for Regional and Rural Queensland will amplify the voice of regional Queensland within government to improve the delivery of government services in regional and rural communities. Working closely with the Department, the Special Commissioner will focus on advising Government on the opportunities for increased efficiency or effectiveness in the work of state government agencies delivering for regional and rural Queensland.
