In accordance with conventional practices, methods and standards, the Technical Officer provides support to pathologists and scientists for the efficient operation of the Pathology Department. The Technical Officer ensures prescribed procedures and techniques are applied when performing routine and specialised tests. Under general guidance from laboratory supervisors, Technical Officers perform technical work in one or more sections of the Pathology Department. Duties will vary depending on location.
