To deliver culturally appropriate, practical prevention and early intervention support services to families utilising a range of strategies including the interpretation of cultural issues, consultation, support and advice, to strengthen the family unit and assist in the diversion of families from the statutory child protection system. It is a genuine occupational requirement that this position be filled by an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. One of the referees should be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who can attest to the applicant’s background, knowledge, skills and experience as they relate to the cultural capabilities.
