The Mental Health Acute Inpatient Service (MHAIS) provides short-term assessment and treatment for people experiencing acute episodes of mental illness. Services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team and include specialist assessment, evidence-based treatment, clinical interventions, reviews, and discharge planning within a safe, therapeutic, and consumer-focused environment. Care is trauma-informed and person-centred, with a strong focus on recovery, resilience, and therapeutic engagement.
