Provide expert leadership, advice and strategic direction to the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries to ensure biosecurity operational readiness for pest and disease eradication and response to natural disasters. Conduct biosecurity training, coordinate exercises and manage the MAX (Maximum pest and disease) biosecurity system team. Coordinate Department of Agriculture and Fisheries’ contribution to whole of government emergency responses and participate in national biosecurity training forums.
