The Director, Forensic Science Service Tasmania (FSST) provides high level strategic leadership ensuring effective governance and management structures are in place to ensure the delivery of quality forensic science services to Tasmania. The Director is responsible for developing, implementing and driving continuous improvements in the effective management of the financial, human resource, regulatory and governance frameworks that are designed to enhance Tasmania’s only forensic services to government and community. The Director provides strategic advice to the Deputy Secretary, Business and Executive Services and Secretary on the effective delivery of forensic science services in a changing and dynamic environment. The Director operates in an environment where effective frameworks and systems of work are essential for the maintenance of a contemporary forensic science practice that is evidenced by NATA forensic science accreditation.
