The Central & Northern Region Command, Custodial Operations Division is responsible for the delivery of custodial services across Queensland. People in custody are supervised in either high or low security correctional centres. High security centres provide for the management of adult prisoners held in secure custody correctional centres across Queensland. The Industries Development Branch is responsible for long-term strategic planning for viable industries in Queensland prisons. The aim of prison industry programs is to effectively rehabilitate prisoners and prepare them for a successful and productive future following release into the community.
