As a Torres Strait Islander Police Liaison Officer (TSIPLO), you will help build trust and understanding between the Queensland Police Service (QPS) & local communities on the islands. Key duties include improving QPS’s understanding of the local cultures, advising on culturally appropriate communication, community engagement and crime prevention strategies. You will be the bridge between key stakeholders across police, community, and government agencies to help community members access policing, referrals and other services, support existing initiatives and engage with members of your community.
