This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued success of Queensland’s Private Protected Area Program. This position forms part of a geographically dispersed team that is responsible for the establishment of nature refuges and special wildlife reserves under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 and their ongoing administration. The role will plan, participate in and coordinate projects that promote the growth and resilience of the private protected area network in a way that ensures the Program is adaptive, progressive and delivers upon strategic objectives. This role requires field work in rural and isolated areas. Experience in similar settings, including safety knowledge and 4WD skills, is an essential part of this role.
