The Victims of Crime Community Response (VOCCR) model draws on existing resources and services already available in a region, providing initial triage and a central point of contact for victims and first responders, ensuring victims of crime can identify and access appropriate services, emotional and practical support, including using brokerage and financial related assistance. The VOCCR program responds to individual referrals in Logan, Ipswich, Rockhampton, Townsville and Cairns. As the Victim Response Officer, you are responsible for the provision of immediate support to meet the urgent needs of victims and their families in the days following a violent crime.
