The Healthy Living Practices Officer plays a central role in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Environmental Health Program (the Program), which supports 16 discrete Local Governments and metro Public Health Units to deliver their public health obligations and improve health outcomes in First Nations communities. The role focuses on promoting and embedding the nine Healthy Living Practices (HLPs) into community-based environmental health work, supporting the training and ensuring these practices are adapted for local contexts.
