DETSI is looking for a Principal Systems Expert (Scientific HPC) to provide strategic leadership and expert technical advice to advance the department’s high-performance computing (HPC) capabilities. This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining and enhancing the department’s scientific computing capacity, ensuring alignment with organisational goals, government priorities, and global IT trends. The Principal Systems Expert will lead the development and implementation of organisation-wide HPC strategies, manage the planning and delivery of technology services and guide the adoption of innovative tools and technologies. The role will also involve shaping the department’s mass storage platforms to meet the growing demands of scientific data management and analysis.
