Within a Primary Health Care Framework, Agency policies, legal requirements and professional competencies the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Continence and Spinal will: • Provide professional advanced clinical leadership and expertise in the provision of clinical advice, assessment and interventions based on best practice in the health care management of people with bladder and/or bowel dysfunction, and people living with a spinal cord injury across acute and community practice setting. • Support an integrated approach to service delivery by developing effective links with other public and community based health service providers and work as part of the multidisciplinary community health team and in close collaboration with clients, General Practitioners (GP) and Specialists. • Implement evidence based practices through teaching, research, and policy and protocol development and through direct example within the practice setting
