Lead a high-performing team in Townsville delivering tenure assessment services for Queensland’s mineral resources. Work closely with senior leaders, stakeholders and industry to assess applications, provide expert legislative advice and improve processes. This role suits an experienced leader who can manage complex workloads, influence outcomes and support responsible resource development. The Georesources division capitalises on Queensland’s minerals, coal, petroleum and gas resources. Mining is the number one wealth generating sector in the state and the work done in this division plays a key role in regulating the resources sector, while also supporting industry development and sector growth.
