The role of Speech and Language Pathologist is to provide high quality speech and language services to young people in youth detention centres, including assessments, treatments and interventions. These services will promote the safety and well-being of young people in detention, facilitate their positive progression through the stages of their period in custody, and assist their avoidance of further offending and successful re-integration with families and the community.
