The role of the Youth Worker is to provide supervision and support to young people subject to a youth justice intervention. The Youth Worker is supervised by the Program Coordinator/Team Coordinator.Role specific/technical skills:• You understand the impacts of historical and contemporary policy and practices upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. You have a demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively, and with humility, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.• You have a demonstrated ability to rapidly develop proficiency in organisational specific programs and databases. You have capacity to acquire basic knowledge of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other cultures.Refer to the role description for more information.
