You will promote respectful, thoughtful and inclusive work environments within the department to ensure a culturally safe workplace for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees. You will be expected to provide expert advice, guidance and assistance to employees and leaders to create and support cultural safety for individuals and work groups, whilst adhering to, promoting, and championing cultural safety.You will assist employees to navigate cultural complexities, fostering an environment where cultural protocols and practices are respected, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees feel safe, secure in their identity, heard and valued. This role involves providing cultural safety support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is a genuine occupational requirement that this position be filled by an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
