Senior Environmental Officers work to improve the state of Queensland's environment by identifying environmental risks, ensuring compliance with environment, coastal, heritage and planning legislation and policies, providing scientific and technical support for a wide range of projects and contributing to the implementation of environmental management and protection strategies. Environmental risks relate to those activities that have the potential to impact environmental values including land, air, water and people. and water treatment.
