Lead Queensland development assessment, appeals,compliance. Be pragmatic & responsive to facilitate State priorities for housing supply & economic development. We need an Executive Director to direct principles-based development assessments to give residents, industry & local government unequivocal & timely certainty on decisions, regardless of the planning decision being a ’yes' or ’no'. Oversee State facilitated development, Ministerial Infrastructure Designations, Regional Interests Development Approvals, Ministerial call-ins, the State’s position in appeals & compliance. You will ensure development proposals are facilitated where needed & when it is needed, while ensuring the State’s interests are integrated. You will work closely with the State Planner & your colleagues to collectively contribute to the department’s strategic direction, strengthen our workplace.
